CONTEST April's Assignment: "MACRO" (Slide)
   
The North West Houston Photo Club holds a contest each month for its members. We alternate between prints one month and slides the next. This allows everyone a chance to enter the contest. There is an assigned category, and an open category. Each member may enter a maximum of two entries in each category. Each entry is scored by each member and the totals determine the winners. Ribbons are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category. We will post the winners names here.

Assigned Categories for 2002:

January Prints "Christmas Present"
February Slides Wide Angle (At least 35mm lens, 35mm format or comparable in other formats.  Try to show wide angle effect with no wide angle distortion.  Your lens should be of the linear type.)
March Prints Night Celestial (Moon, star trails, combinations, maybe with some terrestrial background/foreground included.)
April Slides Macro (lets get right on into it.)
May Prints Wildflowers (Try to include multiple subjects with sharp foregrounds.)
June Slides Still Life (Extra care to keep everything in sharp focus.  Watch shadows if you add flash.)
July Prints Water in Action (Be sure to keep adjacent areas in sharp focus.)
August Slides Silhouettes (Use live subjects
September Prints Landscapes (Watch your foreground focusing.)
October Slides Zoo Animals (Make your shots appear taken in the wilds.)
November Prints In Motion (Make sure your subject is easily identified.)
December No Meeting Club Banquet
